WIPs for this week - PTC (Pics to come.)

by Keri the Sheep

I haven’t had a lot of time to knit these past 2 weeks. I have been moving, of course, but I’ve also been tending a bunch of sick people!

  • Kyle had the flu, pink eye, and an abscess on his gum, in that order. He has to have it pulled on Thursday. I think I’ll get him a toy tomorrow just for dealing with all the crap.
  • Marie has a sinus infection, pink eye, and is teething really badly. Toys won’t make her happy yet.
  • Josh had a wicked cold, but got medication for it.
  • I have a sinus infection, pink eye, lack of sleep, horrible sinus headaches that even percosets won’t get rid of, and this terrible withdrawl that makes me crave yarn…
  • Other than that?

    Yeah…

SO last night I started a pair of socks for my fabulous friend Claire. I forgot how much I like knitting socks. More on that later.

I finally finished the first Tick scarf and made $20 for the Lyme Disease Association. Which I gave to Lisa because although my heart is in the right place, I am not that great with money, and may have accidentally spent it on gas, otherwise. (I actually shredded all my debit and credit cards for just this reason.)

I finished one sleeve on Lisa’s sweater and sewed it on. While the sleeve itself was way to short for Lisa’s taste, it matched the sweater. We figure it’s going to be size 7/8 in young girls. (Note: We tried it on Kyle, and it was a perfect fit. Pics DEFINATELY to come on this one. Hahaha!) I’m adding a red TICK on the other sleeve, just because I can, and we might sell it for the cause.

Lisa is starting a crocheted scarf using some of the donated green yarn, and will give me pics, as well.

Other than that, not much else, for reasons listed above.

PS: My in-laws are awesome! Next entry will explain.

    About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
