WIP - Works in Progress

by

I know yesterday I just said I wasn’t going to post the Christmas gifts, but I decided that I would change my mind. If anybody finds out what they’re getting, well then, so be it. Being the sheep that I am, I must tell you all what I have “on my pointy sticks.” I know everyone uses that phrase… that’s why I’m a sheep, ok? These are in no particular order.

  • Cabled panel for the Butterfly afgan
  • pa270005a.gif

Unfortunately I haven’t worked on this since the last time I posted this picture. Just for fun, lets see the first two blocks I did:
pa230006.JPG This one is duplicate stitch…
pa230005.JPG And this one is intarsia…
Both methods are the first time I’ve done either one. So I think they turned out pretty good!

  • Knitted Angel for Gramma Rae
  • Umm… I actually only have a couple rows of this one. I started it and then got distracted. I am too ashamed of the lack of progress to even post a picture.

  • Blue Sweater for Lisa
  • I would say I’m about 65% done with this. I have almost finished one sleeve.

  • Bath Set for someone…
  • Haha, fooled ya! This gift consists of a knitted washcloth, a crocheted soap-saver/hand mitt, and 3 bottles of bath-type stuff. I have to do the washcloth still. The fabric is made out of microfiber yarn, so it really works well. I’ll post a pic as soon as I take one.

  • Lyme Scarf #1
  • I’m about 25% done with this. It’s making such a cool self striping pattern. It’s in my car or else I’d post that one too. Ah well.

As you can see, I don’t get a lot of knitting time lately. Although I have another person to teach.

    Speaking of which…

I have asked my sister to take pictures of me knitting, so online lessons are on the way!

I’m also spinning, cleaning, working online, blogging, cross-stitching, assembling, caring for children, cooking, running errands… I’m a little busy. Although listing that stuff out and then realizing that I also do a whole bunch of stuff I didn’t list is very validating. I feel better now.

    About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
