WIP - Karin Slaughter challenge
Okay - so the big frogging took place a couple of days ago - right down to the red rows - and here is the progress as of Sunday afternoon:
The color is not 100%, but you get the general idea - this, of course, is before being stitched up the sides and before felting. That will happen sometime this week.
I’m working on the “double I cord” handle at the moment:
It’s supposed to be 55 inches long - so I have a ways to go yet. This may be what goes to anchortown with hubby and me Tuesday. And, in case boredom sets in, I’ll take along some mini socks, too, to work on.
The two problems I’ve had concern yarn colors. As you can see, maybe, from the picture - the reds are too close in color - there isn’t enough difference to make it look more 3 dimensional. Also, my blue is not a turquoise like shown in the picture. So, that’s kind of a bummer. But, nevertheless, I’m pretty sure that Lessa will enjoy it - come Christmas. (hahaha)
I’m writing this in the late afternoon Sunday - hubby is out riding his motorcycle in the gorgeous sunshine. I’m a wee bit jealous - both of my bikes were sold earlier this year. Sigh. Ah, well!
Have a wonderful week, everyone!
