What’s in the box, Gramma?
That was the question from the granddaughters when we arrived at church this morning. These are the cloths that are finished so far - they will be given as part of the goodie bags for this fall’s ladies retreat. The theme is “Wonderfully Made” and the woman setting everything up has asked several ladies if they would make something to be shared.
I can knit dish cloths! I told her and she thought it was a great idea. I took them to church with me this morning to show her what I had so far and she seemed pleased. Trusting that the ladies who attend will like them, too.
Ms. M. is keeping kind of quiet about what everyone is bringing. That way we will ALL be surprised.
I wish someone who knew how to make soap might be convinced to make small bars of face soap to go with these. I guess that might be a bit too much to ask, huh?
Hubby and I are in Anchorage today - we’ll be gone until Wednesday mid-day. Yes, I am hoping to hit Michael’s for some more cotton dish cloth yarn. I also want to get some blank note cards - I’m making up of some of my photos - they will be donated to a domestic violence shelter for a fundraiser they are holding in August. I also have some 8×10 prints ordered for the same purpose.
The camera is charged up and ready to go - it is always with me, but especially on Anchorage trips - the scenery is always changing and I’m hoping still for some shots of Mt. Redoubt from the Anchorage angle.
