Socks made of sock yarn?

I have officially begun my first sock made with actual sock yarn. I am also using a pattern from a book called Knit Socks! (This book is so cute! It’s shaped like a sock. It’s set up pretty nicely, too, with charts depicting the directions so they aren’t that intimidating. Although I think there should have been more than one tech editor. The directions aren’t always clear, and sometimes make no sense whatsoever.)

But after the Claire sock, this one is a bit of a reprieve. I’m redoing hers, I think, because the pattern I was using isn’t handling the yarn very well.

But as for this little sock? It is going very well, thank you. I am finding knitting socks EXTREMELY relaxing, for some reason. Here’s how it looks so far:

I LOVE making socks! Especially little ones! Hear, hear for immediate gratification!

SO, more PTC, as I go along. Hopefully I don’t come down with a case of the dreaded SSS and only have one sock to show!
