Not really
. . . a knitting post, that is. Not today. Although I will have pics of some finished pieces tomorrow - okay?
Hubby and I had a lovely trip to Homer, Alaska to take part in some of the Shorebird Festival activities. We saw a political satirist Friday night - entirely too much fun. The room was crowded - and just before the show started we were almost evacuated. Seems the cook tried to set the kitchen on fire - our non-smoking show became a seriously smoking show!
(note to self - that is probably the reason for the headache most of Saturday!)
Saturday morning bright and early we made our way through town to find an open cafe for breakfast. Not too many up and about that early, but we found a nice little spot where hubby was able to have his oatmeal cooked to order.
And, then we went on down to the dock to meet our boat - for the cruise on upper Kachemak Bay - supposedly to see the birds - but hubby and I were just out for a boat ride. Quite enjoyable - the seas were glassy calm on the way out, but by the time we returned 4.5 hours later the wind had kicked up a chop. I was slightly tinged with green as we made our way into dock.
But it was lovely. I promise knitting tomorrow. For now I leave you with a favorite picture from the weekend.
