Ladybug - Paying it Forward

12elvishlvs Yesterday I mentioned JM and Zaneta who had won the comment contest for February. The third winner was Ladybug - who does not have a public website.

She, however, has begun to pay it forward in her way and shared it with me. A young woman was recently in a terrible accident and is temporarily (Lord willing) paralyzed. She’s in a hospital a few hundred miles from here, but is from this area.

Word got out that she needed some things and Ladybug and her friends decided to do up a care package of sorts, fulfilling some of those needs. Included in the package were two of the dish cloths Ladybug had won in Knitting Passion’s comment contest.

I hope that she will see the cloths and be reminded that someone cares about her and then pays it forward herself. is what Ladybug told me.

I hope so, too. And, it is nice to see how all three recipients are doing their part to make the world a bit nicer place, right?

About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.
