Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

First time commenter on the various knitting sites I visit, but here goes…I learned to knit from my mother and her mother, continental style, and was ridiculed in 5th grade by the Scandinavian girls for my ‘wierd and backwards’ knitting. That’s okay because they also ridiculed the french braids I wore. Non-conventional things scared them, for sure. I used to knit for my four sons but when full time work became a necessity, I stopped. Now without a job, I am back to knitting, doing some work for the prayer shawl ministry and some for grandbabies. Funny how easy it all came back to me when I picked up the needles. Not ready to show my work but I am ready to try socks again! Good luck with your contest. Stoney Monte
