Happy New Year

by

Let’s try to start this new year out with a bang, shall we? You might be scratching your heads and wondering where in the world the Knitting Passion has gone . . . has she lost her mojo? Where in the world is k2p2?

ahhhhh, my friends . . . December went by in a whirl . . . I was extremely busy at work and when at home during my “down time” I was extremely busy knitting those grandbabies their Christmas finery. I’ll not show all of them at once . . . gotta stretch out the knitting mojo a bit if I can.
;)

The first gifts I completed were two condom amulets for Lessa’s adopted daughters.

She, of course, had to go one better and give all of the teenagers STDs . . . not the real kind, of course, but stuffed, furry types, which totally got them to giggling. They also, along with the amulets, hopefully will get them to thinking.

Of course, the amulets COULD be used for anything - they are a perfect size for business cards, or trinkets you need to carry with you. They are just plain cute to hang from your jeans belt loop. And, so easy to make and to have fun with as well.

In other news I am totally lusting after (and, no need for a condom for THIS lust) this cute Bruce the Moose from an ebay auction. Someone over at ravelry.com has one and her avatar shows Bruce in a sweater holding sticks and string, knitting up a storm. She says he sits on her couch and holds the remote control so they always know where it might be.

Random info . . . this is a hallmark moose - years ago at a hallmark store hubby and I bought our girls a book “Bruce the Moose’s Loose Tooth.” Yup - same moose. ;)

Okay - I’m off to put the new year’s pork and sauerkraut into the oven. Hope none of you have headaches this day - ’cause I need to shout one more time . . .

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
