FO (Finished Object)

by barbara waters

So - one gift totally finished! That’s important when I say it, because all too often I have been known to get something ALMOST there . . . and not do the final finishing touches. Not this time, my friends:

Mama Lessa . . . don’t let the girlchick peek, okay?

I was going to put a snap on it and a button over the snap front . . . but then I found these cute heart LOVE buttons and had to have them. So, the old loop and button closure works for me.

Think she’ll like it? I hope so.

Almost done with the Boy’s chosen gift. And . . . I am working on the second of the two afghans Shelly sent me to piece together. One is finished and I am now piecing the squares together of the second.

I hope to get these into the mail to you by Monday, Shelly.

Still thinking about what to make for the other five grands - guess I should be figuring it out pretty quickly - I want this year to be a special one - with things made by Nana.

Pretty busy still at work, so I am not getting here as often as I would like - and as I should. I weigh writing in one hand and knitting in the other and so far the knitting is winning out. Not sure what that tells me. ;)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving (just in case the knitting wins yet again).

About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
