Down to the Wire

by barbara waters

A quick check over at Wendy’s 3 day update page shows that she still have $95 to go to meet her goal of $5000. AND - if she meets that goal - she shaves her head, too!

All monies raised go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

We are REALLY getting down to the wire, folks . . . the 3 day begins on the 24th - that’s just 9 days away.

Now, what can I do to entice you?????

Here’s what I will promise to do - for each and EVERY dollar (up to $100) that any of you will donate to put Wendy over the top . . . I will match it. You donate $1 and I will give $1. My cap at this point is $100 - so if one person antes up the entire $100, that will be the end of it - but, HEY, you can up the ante yourself, you see. If you REALLY want to make a difference, write about it at YOUR site and offer to match funds up to whatever amount you can afford.

It’s what we all do together that counts in this world is what I’m thinking.

And, here’s just a little more to sweeten the pot:
Leave a comment here that you have donated - making sure to tell me what amount so that I can match it (if you are not comfortable telling here - email me the amount, okay?) - I will place all donors’ names into a (proverbial) hat and pull one out to win . . .

Yup - that’s a purple moose you see there - and a pair of socks with a purple moose on them as well. You see, I live in Alaska and I make my own fun!

There you go - you can donate to a good cause, have your donation matched, see Wendy go OVER her goal, see Wendy shave her head, AND . . . own a purple moose for your very own. What more could anyone want?

Let’s set a deadline, shall we???? The 3 day begins the 24th - so let’s set the 19th (Sunday) as our deadline.

Okay - fire away - let the commenting begin! Thank you, thank you very much!!!

About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
