Beeeep

It’s just another Manic Monday . . . in more ways than one.

Run on over and check out

Shelly’s Monday update about the share a sqare project. Don’t be a hoarder . . if you’ve got ‘em, send ‘em on to Texas where Shelly and her faithful volunteers can put them together.

A suggestion she has today is to buy several mailing envelopes (I got the padded kind), place 4 or 5 inside (whatever fits without smooshing too badly) and then take them on to the post office on a weekly basis. If you check the postage the first time, and keep your number of squares the same every time, you should be able to purchase the right amount of postage the first time and then just toss the envelopes into the big blue box!

Sounds like quite the plan to me.

And, Shelly, I really don’t hoard. I work furiously for about three or four days and then send in as many as I’ve gotten done in that time. But, I’ll try the envelope thing. ;) I’ve got 10 ready - done since Sunday - to send off tomorrow.

Hubby shook his head at me the other day when I showed him how many I had completed. “Well,” says he, “you’ve been crocheting since your cradle.” Okay, not quite. But my grandmother did teach me when I was four so I guess I

    have

been doing it for awhile.

Many thanks to miss Jaime in Australia. As part of a forum request she and I did a mutual exchange . . . hers from Australia and mine from Alaska - definitely worlds apart. Jaime, thank you thank you . . . Tim Tams!!! They were delicious! Yummy. Good thing they don’t make them available here, though. I could eat my weight in them - but then I’d have to eat more because my weight would have increased. Hahahahaha. Thank you so much for the exchange.

Barbara, you are sooo good. Thank you for all your hard work, and for continuing to post about the project. I wish I could clone you!

About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
