A little Emo

by

Today’s pattern is for when you love . . . but you’re feeling a bit blue about it, maybe. Heart with a Tear drop is an illusion cloth - done with two colors of yarn - each row is done with a different color. When you are finished and hold the cloth just right you will see the pattern you’ve knitted. Looking at it straight on, however, does not allow the pattern to be seen.

stackocloths The top cloth on this stack is an illusion cloth . . . it was done in purple and cream - purple for domestic violence awareness month - October. But this gives you an immediate idea of what an illusion cloth is.

The background design on Cora’s site might be a bit much, but scroll down the page a bit to find the pattern. You might want to highlight it and copy it to a document page in order to see it better when it’s printed.

Monday I was a bit under the weather - I only lasted at work for half an hour before I had to just sign out and head back home. I spent the day mostly in my chair with my knitting at hand. In between snoozing, I managed to just about finish two dish cloths. I’ll share a picture and the pattern source with you tomorrow.

In the meantime . . . you HAVE entered the Comment contest below, right? What? You mean you haven’t? Well . . . we are counting down and the clock sits at minus 18 days to C-day (cloth day). My grandkiddos are looking forward to drawing three names and they would be tickled if the winner was you!

About Knitting Passion

Is knitting really a passion? On THIS blog it is - for all who come here. Blog entries will be made up of patterns, photos of in-progress or completed work - off the wall discussions about whatever tickles the author's fancy (Survivor Knitting anyone?). This can be as much YOUR blog as it is the current author's. Questions will be entertained and answers sought diligently. Comments are always welcome - and information ALWAYS appreciated. Will there be stories and pictures of the stash of yarn or the duplicated knitting needles? Will there be more off the wall ideas for knitting? Will there be original patterns or freebies cited? Only the dark of night and the author's amount of caffeine or sleep can determine that.

Ready? ONE - TWO - GET SET - KNIT!
